Every once in a while I come across a really nice product I’d like to share with you, and today I have a great one! Our friends over at Paint My Furkids offered to do a digital portrait of Ernest and Pete, and it came out awesome! (Don’t forget to read all the way to the end, because that’s where you’ll find how YOU could win one of FIVE free portraits of your very own pet!) Above is the one they did for us!
If you like to display portraits of your pet on your walls and shelves (And yes, mine are covered with framed photos, paintings and drawings of my dogs, and I couldn’t think of a better way to decorate my home!) this is a great site for you. PAINT MY FURKIDS offers high quality hand-painted artwork and digital artwork. Their mission is to “help passionate pet owners and lovers commission hyper-realistic handpainted pet portraits.” .They were very easy to order from—I just sent them over a few photos to pick from and they did all the rest. They communicated by email when my work was ready and sent the files in a dropbox. I think the digital portrait came out great. I love the colors, texture (See all the little furs beneath their noses?) and the font for their names.

I am not sure which pet I would choose! But this artwork is gorgeous and something I am sure you will treasure forever. Thank you for the opportunity. 🙂
I have water colors of Sampson and Delilah so I know Mitzi would love to have her beautiful face up there with them.
It’s a lovely idea!
What a great contest! I would choose our 22-year-old cat, Patches. BTW, she looks really good for her age, ha! Seriously, she wanted nothing more than to be the only pet in our household, but you know how that goes. Through the years we couldn’t help welcoming assorted kitties and puppies into our family. Well, I reckon she showed them all by outliving every single one of them. Although we long for another dog since we lost our Lucy Belle a year ago, we’re finally giving Patches her very best life.
Naps, food, brushing, repeat. It’s good to be Patches 🙂
P.S. You can see pics of her on my website.
My fur son’s name is Brady. He has been the love & light of my life for 12 years now. Devastatingly, we recently discovered he is in liver failure. While I have been unable to accept or process, in his true fashion, he is steadfast in carrying me through even though he is the sick one. You see, Brady has healed me throughout his short life. Growing up in a chaotic life riddled by addiction, poverty, loss, trauma, and everything in between, forced me to live an adult life as just a child. I was hardened, unemotional, distrusting of everyone and everything, lashed out, and hated the entire world. And then he came. And he saved me. And he changed my entire life. He opened my heart and has been the only constant I have ever been able to count on. We have grown together and because of his love, I have now been able to help a child in a way I should have been helped. Brady has accepted countless foster dogs and kitties to our home.. always welcoming, playful and willing to share his toys, home and his Mama. He has never waivered as being my rock and has helped countless fosters find their confidence(and unfortunately, their voices!!) He deserves this more than anything!
Button and Elah are inseparable and close to the end. I’d love to catch them in a forever piece to have them smiling at me everyday.
I would love to have one of MacKenzie! We have some many great photos of her, but this painting of Ernest and Pete is AMAZING!!
I have Stella (Aussie – my heart dog) , Wrigley (Aussie) & Henry (Aussiedoodle). It’s impossible for me to get a great photo of all three together and would love this. Peter and Ernest look great in yours!!!
I would love a digital portrait done of Ducky as she was my soulmate, emotional support, and helper for most of her 10 years on earth. I sometimes struggle to get through the day without her to love on and be loved on by her. I miss her so much it hurts.
The portrait of Ernest and Petey is beautiful!
I have a grand puppy named Halsey who would look stunning in oils or watercolor. Or mud, rain, or even the hay he loves to roll in … such a dog!
My brother has passed away and his Dog “Moose” passed away a few years later, His wife has a dog named “Roxy” that my brother loved too, I would love to have a picture of them together, to give to my sister in law.
My best friend’s name is Coconut. My dog saved my life and so I work with a local rescue shelter as a way to thank Coconut for choosing me as is mom. I suffered a traumatic brain injury and could no longer work so I had to move from Hawaii to Wisconsin because of finances. Coconut became my emotional support dog and without him I don’t think I’d be alive. I sure wouldn’t be involved in rescing over 5,000 dogs! I am writing a book about rescue dogs and I’d love this on my author’s wall in my house, but maybe even on the back cover.
I would love to have Mollie Mae’s portrait done. She is my sweet dachshund who will turn 16 on April 21. I don’t know how much longer I’ll have her, and I see each day as a gift.
I would get a portrait done of my dog Malarky as I know the time we have together is short.
I would love to have one have Jordan. He’s my greatest love and my favorite face to look at.
Well, that would be a hard decision. I’d love a tribute to Jack or Muffin but Tobes is just so ridiculously cute…
Oh my goodness, is this not a beautiful picture of your boys. I would love to have a picture of Tressa and Harley, I dont have any real good pictures of them. They are getting up in age and I need one badly. I need to have a really good picture of them because my oldest had a lot of health issues and I have to savor every minute I have with her. Both girls have been my babies since they were 8 weeks old. Thank you.
This is amazing work! I’d love to have a painting of my girls, Penny and Piper.
COOPER
