Love your articles on My Creatures. I read a story in my book every night just before I go to sleep. I love reading of the bond people have with their animals. I had two cats and now I have one. Willow crossed the Rainbow Bridge two years ago and I still miss her every hour of every day. She was a special cat. I don’t know what made me stop at the pound that day but as I was walking by the cat cages this paw reached out and snagged my coat and I turned to see the most beautiful calico cat I had ever seen. Well I marched right out and said I want to take Willow home with me right then and there and they said I could not because she was the cat of the week in the newspaper and I had to wait until Saturday. Well needless to say I was at the pound an hour early to be the first at the door when they opened and I then and there claimed my cat. There were two others that came in as I was adopting her and asked for her and they had to be told I was already getting her. Good thing I was there early to be first in line. She was with me 19 good years before an illness claimed her and I had to do the hardest this and help her cross the Bridge. The Vet and my companion cried just as hard as I did when she was gone. I still have Feather, Willows friend for 12 of those years so I know that I will again have to help a cat cross the Bridge and that will be another hard day but until that day I will give her all the love she deserves. Thank you for reading my story of my cats.
Thank you! I’m glad you love All Creatures. My condolences on Willow. She sure sounds like she was special. And hugs to dear Feather.
